Here's why Kob and Brooke's wedding on friday was bigger than the Oscars

: Absolutely everyone has been waiting forever for handsome politician Danuporn "Brooke" Punnakan to tie the knot with popularity-queen  actress Suvanan "Kob" Kongying. They've been courting since she was 19 and she's 30 now!

Both Channel 7 and 3 had their mobile-broadcast units at the Centara Grand for the ceremony, and True Inside (Channel17) broadcast the entire wedding live.

Politicians aren't welcome on Oscar's stage (unless you count Al Gore, and he was just "An Inconvenient Truth"). But Kob and Brooke drew a slew of bigwigs from both the Democrat and Pheu Thai parties.

The groom's brother Putthipong is a Democrat MP, even though Brooke is a Pheu Thai MP.

Between them (and Kob), they lured Yingluck Shinawatra, Sudarat Keyuraphan and Apirak Kosayothin.
