Nokia's latest N-Gage game is so addictive you won't want to answer the phone
If you have a Nokia phone capable of running N-Gage 2-based games, try "Hooked On: Creatures of the Deep". This role-playing fishing game is not just fun; it's totally addictive, even if you loathe everything about real life angling. The N-Gage 2 game system, which you will need to play, is compatible with the N79, N81, N95 and N96, among other N-series models, plus the 5320 XpressMusic phone. The game has terrific graphics and refreshing sound effects, such as chirping sea birds. It's a RPG game, so don't expect to hook any big prey in the early stages. You'll need to earn experience points to increase your level and unlock more fishing gear and maps. You start the game in Costa Rica with a fishing boat and basic gear. As your skill level increases, you can get new stuff from the in-game shop - rods, lines, reels and bait. The game also allows you to enter a tournament, which sets a challenge - catch certain types of fish - within a time limit. Accumulate sufficient points and you can trying hooking the Loch Ness monster! The game is easy enough to play. You mostly use the '5' key to cast and reel in your line. When you hook a fish, you'll need to monitor a bar to balance the drag of the catch or else your line will snap. You can also upload your game performance to compare with other players at the N-Gage Arena Community website.
