Corpses rise up, Draculas get down and funky ghouls haunt the dance floor -- it must be a Halloween!
Whoopee - this year's Halloween night falls on a Friday! Some of you might have warmed up at one of the pre-Halloween parties around town during the past week, But tonight is the big night for ghoulish freaks to party, and fortunately there are loads of fun Halloween bashes to rattle your bones at.
Something's under the Bed! Bed Supperclub on Sukh-umvit Soi 11 is normally the haunt of the "beautiful people", but it plays host to a night of the living dead this evening. Look under the bed and be very afraid. Entry is Bt1,000 with two drinks. Don't forget to dress up and bring a lot of treats.
Party with a vampire Further up, on Sukhumvit Soi 1, Moroccan bar Gazebo transforms into "The Castle of Doom" with a rooftop Dracula's den complete with an orgy of blood and devils. The special Halloween menu is dripping with blood curry, snake rolls and eyeball mash (yuk!). Bloody cocktails are served later on. For a demonic dessert there are sexy freaks dancing on the tables while DJs Florian and Stefanie work the deck. The Bt300 entry gets you a bloody cocktail.
Hip-hop horror Club Culture on Sri Ayutthaya Road celebrates Halloween with a special DJ set by Slacker, aka Shem Mccauley. At the cutting edge of the UK's hip-hop scratch scene, McCauley has worked with Fatboy Slim and DJ Carl Cox. His "Rock the Discotek" and "Stomp" both became international club classics. A ticket with a drink is Bt350 for those with a costume, Bt450 for those without.
The scream team Newly renovated Club Ibiza in the basement of President Tower Arcade on Chidlom is another place to get demonic: Dance Anthems is here! The fourth chapter hosted by Dance Anthems Asia is dubbed "Halloween Scream" and features the scream team of Darren Mac, Tony Hughes and Billy V. Wear something frightening and entry is Bt200 with special pumpkin cocktails and two standard drinks. Without a costume it's Bt300 with two drinks.
