Tom Cruise is still alive

Published on October 19, 2008

Tom Cruise is alive and well, his agent said, denying Internet reports

that the would-famous and sort of crazy actor had fallen to his death in New Zealand.

"This is not true. Tom is not in New Zealand nor has he been there recently. This is erroneous, unreliable Internet garbage," Cruise publicist Jeff Raymond said.

Claims that the star plunged to death from the Kauri Cliffs circulated on the Internet Thursday and were even picked up by traders on foreign exchange markets.

But rest assured, Tom Cruise was pictured this week in New York with his actress wife Katie Holmes and their adorable little daughter Suri Cruise.

Holmes is winning raves for her turn on All My Sons on Broadway, which has its official opening Thursday night, and for a guest role on Eli Stone.
