A young actor makes a name for himself with a wardrobe of brightlycoloured clothes
Worarit "Kapper" Ninklom, one of young actors in Five Star Production's movie "Boonchu 9", defines his fashion style as representing who he really is - a friendly and funny person. The 21yearold actor, a fourthyear computer graphics student at Dhurakij Pundit University, says he loves dressing up. And because of his sunny nature, he's filled his cupboards with brightlycoloured clothes and spectacles. "Putting on brightlycoloured clothes reflects my love for life and my courage in expressing that," says the likeable young man who today is dressed in a blueandred tartan shirt, orange jeans and yellow Nike sports shoes. Kapper, who changed his nickname from Gap to make registering with socialnetworking websites easier, says brown used to be his favourite colour but he started favouring brighter shades, like green, red, orange, pink and blue after making his debut on the entertainment scene. "Brown makes me look cool. I've even used a brown dye for my hair," he grins. "But the bright colours help me to build up more of a reputation. They're lively so they stand out. "But I'm also serious about mixing and matching my clothes," he adds. "I started wearing a jacket with a hood because of Korean Fever. And I've been known to don a green jacket with red jeans and yellow sports shoes and finish off the outfit with orange sunglasses." Kapper has more than 40 pairs of specs in different colours. They range in price from below Bt100 to just over Bt1,000. "I had a pair of Levi's shades that cost more than Bt8,000 but never wore them. I lost them during a fashion shoot." Kapper finds most of his clothes at the Mall Ngarmwongwan and Chatuchak Weekend Market. "I'm small and skinny so a jacket helps give me a better shape," he says. "My favourite jacket is a white one with a cartoonpatterned hood that I bought for Bt1,800 and I'm also very fond of the one that's similar to a jacket worn by [Korean superstar] Rain that cost me nearly Bt5,000."
