Samsung's new Pebble is a must for the fashion conscious music fan
If you were thinking of treating yourself to some junk jewellery this pay day, why not opt for an amulet that will also give you hours of listening pleasure?
That's not as crazy as it sounds, as the Samsung S2 Pebble, which looks just like a shiny pebble, is also a stylish MP3 player weighing 17 grams and measuring 17x 42 x 42 mm, and looks great around the neck.
The earphones come with a lanyard cord to which the Pebble is attached with a retention clip, so it won't get knocked off.
Apart from its funky looks, the Pebble also sounds surprisingly good, thanks to its advanced DNSe technology. It comes with three preset equaliser settings, Normal, 3D Studio, and Concert Hall.
Since the S2 has no display, it's not suitable for anyone who wants to read the information of the song while playing it and it's not convenient for navigate through your song collections.
Although the Pebble does allow you to select a few play modes, you need to read and get familiar with the LED colour codes. The memory is not gi
gantic but it does hold almost 400 songs, which is enough to get you through the day.
Fashionistas get to choice between five colours - black, white, green, pink and purple. At Bt1,790 for the 1 gigabyte model, you can almost afford one to go with every outfit.
