Name Card Festival at Thailand Creative and Design Centre will be back as part of the upcoming Creativities Unfold symposium
It wasn't a wedding fair, more a sort of matchmaking event, but one that was strictly about business. The first "Name Card Festival" last year brought freelance designer Naporn Boonpromon and his 300 unique name cards together with American CEO/traveller Michael Morrissey. Now "Name Card Festival No 2 - Expand Your Network" is back and you can find it at the Thailand Creative and Design Centre from October 3 to 5. The Naporn-Morrissey connection was conceived when the Thai designer heard about the festival and immediately printed more than 300 name cards in the shape of a doughnut - a move inspired by his nickname. Morrissey saw the doughnut cards and something clicked. The CEO picked only five name cards from the huge pile at the festival. He was looking for one that could form part of a design for a calendar for his friends as well as for an upcoming exhibition of his travel photographs at a New York gallery. The "Name Card Wall" and a portfolio showcase screen will be on permanent display in the TCDC lobby. It's a great opportunity for any in the creative and design community to network and build business relationships. Find the right match on the Name Card Wall.
