After turning 38 this year,

I began noticing wrinkles, blemishes and freckles on my skin. I've heard that IPL - Intensive Pulsed Light - can help relieve these problems since it stimulates the body to create more collagen. However, the price is still high and I'm not sure if it's worth the money. Can you advise me on the best solution to my problem? - Young at heart

For pigmented skin problems such as melasma, freckles or post-inflamed hyper pigmentation, the state-of-the-art solution is actually something called the QS-Nd YAG Laser. This hi-tech treatment can heal all pigment problems without patient downtime, though people usually need multiple treatments. It should shrink pore size and tighten the skin too. The IPL (Intensive ulsed Light) machine is used to make the skin radiant, but is less effective for pigment problems or tightening the skin.
