A new stage comedy by the Naked Masks troupe aims to raise awareness of global warming
Inspired by Al Gore's 2006 documentary film "The Inconvenient Truth", Thai-Japanese actor-director Shogo Tanikawa is bringing his own message about global warming to the masses, with a futuristic play he's calling "Green Concerto". Set in 2016, the drama is set in a university's environmental club and tells the story of a lecturer and his student who adopt the secluded facilities to conduct a love affair but gradually start focusing on the wider problems faced by the world. "We set the play in the future in the belief that global warming will be get worse and by 2016, there may no longer be any flowers on our planet," says the producer, Supasawat Buranavej. The romantic comedy stars director-actor Teerawat Mulvilai, Jaturachai Srichan-wanpen and Prawit Kittichan-thira, who is best known for his work in the acclaimed action film "Muay Thai Chaiya".
