Police arrested taxi driver Wasan Armeena, 30, at his home in Bangkok's Nong Chok district after he had robbed passenger Pannipa Rangcharoen on Wednesday in Soi Ramkhamhaeng 26.

They seized Bt1,900 in cash, a digital camera, mobile phone, PlayStation and a wrench.

Wasan had threatened Pannipa with a wrench and punched her in the face before taking her belongings and letting her out of the taxi.

Drive-by shooting

Three students of Rajamangala University of Technology's Uthen Thawai campus were injured in drive-by shootings on Wednesday night.

At 10pm, two men on a motorcycle fired six times at the back door of a No 25 bus containing about 60 students on the way back home from a funeral.

Police initially presumed the attack could have been carried out by rival students or by senior students after some freshmen who witnessed the death gave statements to police.

He died dancing

A 15-year-old boy was found dead in an Internet cafe in Hua Mark yesterday. The boy was playing the online dancing game Audition. Police suspect he died from a heart attack. Sarawut Kamjunya, 26, the cafe's caretaker, said he found the boy dead after he had played the game for two hours.
