There's no shortage of romance as fans of Air Supply get 'Lost in Love'
They may be into their late 50s, but Air Supply's Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell proved to a sell-out crowd at Central Lat Phrao on Tuesday that they've still got a full supply of love, energy - and air too, as in powerful vocals. Three younger backing musicians kept up the pace as Australian Hitchcock showed off his untarnished high-range singing - most notably in "Lost in Love", "Goodbye" and "All Out of Love" - and Briton Russell maintained a lively fire on 12-string and electric guitars. The show was imbued with love and romance, as expected and welcomed by the 2,500 adoring fans, including DJ Viroj Khwamtham and his son DJ Map, former Thai Rak Thai MP Nahathai Thewphaingarm, actress Ploy Jindachoti and Elvis impersonator Vasu Sangsingkaew. The duo's tunes still tug at the heartstrings, and the audience happily sang along to "Two Less Lonely People in the World" and "The One that You Love". Russell had a solo run playing acoustic guitar for the thrilling "The River Cried", and Hitchcock took his turn with piano accompaniment on "Without You". The encore was "All Out of Love", with the boys - it's still okay to call them boys - beckoning fans to the front of the stage.
