The buy-one-get-one-free deal that has the party's Poonpirom Liptapanlop as energy minister and her husband Suwat as her personal aide is working out great.

Suwat is between jobs at the moment, so when Poonpirom flew to Brazil with the boys from PPT Plc to learn about bio-power cars, he happily tagged along. Matichon has a photo of Suwat chauffeuring her around in an FFV - a flex-fuel vehicle.

Nothing frivolous about this trip: Thai Airways probably gave Poonpirom the customary free seat for politicians, but Suwat, being an ex-politician, had to pay his own way.
