The DJ's DJ gets howling for Hed Kandi - drummer Ian C will try to keep beat

If you missed Shena and Andy Norman's show last time, catch the second of the Hed Kandi sessions tomorrow night at Q Bar with electro-house DJ David Dunne and percussionist Ian C.

For five years Dunne was Hed Kandi's DJ of choice, producing and presenting the label's radio shows in London and elsewhere. Since then he's toured the world many times over, playing at more than 150 Hed Kandi parties.

Known as "the DJ's DJ" for his technical skill and ability to work a dance floor, Dunne gushes about having "the best job in the world".

Tonight he'll be joined by one of Britain's most sought-after percussionists. Ian C earned his reputation playing at top nightclubs, including the Syndicate in Blackpool and the infamous Pacha in London.

Gradually he became the missing ingredient that most DJs look for to add live-percussion elements to their sets. Fusing traditional instruments with state-of-the-art technology, Ian is that rare breed of musician who can adapt to any DJ style, mingling and manoeuvring in and out of the changing beat.

He's performed with John Kelly, Gus Gus, Liquid People, Lenny Fontana and Dave Piccioni, and recently released 13 original tracks as "Vagabonds Disco".
