Music therapy workshop

Mahidol University's College of Music is organising the first Thailand Music Therapy Forum, with the theme "from theory to practice", to be held from June 23-25.
Thai experts in various areas related to music therapy will be able to exchange opinions and experiences with experts from the US, Professor Alicia Clair and Associate Professor Dena Register, both from the University of Kansas. The registration fee is Bt4,000 per person, or Bt2,000 for students, including a CD-Rom of the proceedings, lunches, snacks and a welcome reception. Those who register on Sunday will get a 10-per-cent discount. The three-day forum will be held at the Mahidol University Auditorium, Salaya Campus, Nakhon Pathom. Speaking Chinese China is growing as a world economic superpower and that means people who can speak Chinese are a step ahead in the international job market. Rangsit University's Language Centre and East Asian Study Centre are offering two intensive Chinese-language study courses. The first, Basic Chinese Mandarin, is a 30-hour course held only on Saturdays from 10am to noon between June 28 and October 4. The second, a 52-hour intensive Chinese Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi test-preparation programme will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4.30-6.30pm from June 24 to September 18.
