Being sufficient

The sufficiency economy suits our way of life. My family used to live a peaceful life in rural Kanchanaburi.
There, my father had a plantation, grew vegetables and raised hens, pigs and fish. Money was necessary for us, but it was something we could largely do without. My father fished, and my mother cooked the catch with vegetables from the farm. I like to recall those things, but - hey! - they're just memories.
