Cinema stars will be on the runway for a Fashion Extravaganza

Adding to the pizzazz of the International Indian Film Academy Weekend next Friday through Sunday will be a Fashion Extravaganza featuring top Bollywood stars.

The fashion show at Siam Paragon Hall on Saturday night will showcase some of India's most prominent fashion designers, including Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Rohit Bal, Manish Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis.

Alternative clothing brand Mufti and Thai design house Alta Moda will also feature their collections.

More than 40 leading Thai and Indian models will be                  on the catwalk, adorned                   with jewellery from Gitanjali Lifestyle and Diamrusa.

Miss Thailand Universe 2007 Farung Yutitham, representing Alta Moda, will be joined by actress Vidya Balan for Sabyasachi, Kareena Kapoor for Malhotra, and                   the cast of the forthcoming "De Talli" - Aftab Shivdasani, Riteish Deshmukh and          Ayesha Takia - for Phadnis.

The "Love Story 2050" couple, Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja, will be the showstoppers for Rohit Bal, and the "Mission Istanbul" cast - Zayed Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Shriya Saran, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Nikitin Dheer and Shweta Bharadwaj - will be on the runway as well.

The extravaganza will be hosted by famed Indian director, producer and TV celebrity Karan Johar and choreographed by Lubna Adams.

The fashion show adds to an already busy schedule for the IIFA Weekend Bangkok taking place at Siam Paragon and Siam Niramitr.

There will be business forums, film premieres, media briefings, a glitzy awards ceremony and fund-raising for the IIFA Foundation, which supports the families of film-industry workers in need.
