Suwan Seelee, winner of the Bacardi-Martini Grand Prix 2008 Thailand Championship, will soon be boarding a flight for Italy where he'll be taking part in the finals of this prestigious bartender competition being held in Turin from Sunday until next Tuesday.

The 27-year-old bartender from the Conrad Bangkok's 87 Plus impressed the judges with his flair techniques of tossing, balancing, mixing and flipping.

"It's the dream of every bartender to represent Thailand in the World Final, and thanks to the Thailand championship, my dream has come true," says Suwan.

For the local competition, he showed off his "Green Peace" cocktail, a perfect combination of fresh fruit and Bacardi.

"I try to improve my skills by looking at videos and searching for more information on the Net. I also exchange ideas with experienced bartenders."

For the Turin competition, Suwan will don an all-white suit and a hat inspired by Korean pop idol Rain.  The cocktail recipe has been specially created with Thai tropical fruit as the key ingredient.
