The Princess Sirindhorn Anthropology Centre in Taling Chan, Thon Buri, hosts a book launch and talk on "The Mons in Siam: Ethnicity, Roles, and Lessons" from 12.30 to 6.30pm on May 30.

The event kicks off with a performance of Mon music, which will be followed by a merit-making ceremony in support of the victims of Cyclone Nargis.

The afternoon continues with the launch of the book "Ong B' Mon Women, Power, and the Bangkok Court" and a discussion led by Sujit Wongthet.

Participants will also enjoy traditional dance and music from Sangkhla Buri, Lop Buri, Nonthaburi's Koh Kred, and Samut Prakan's Phra Pradaeng.

Proceeds from book sales will go to help cyclone victims in the Irrawaddy Delta.

Boyd and Pod in love with life

Boyd Kosiyabongse and Modern Dog's Thanachai "Pod" Ujjin  get together on the stage of Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, on July 15 and 16 to promote their album "BOYdPOD Bittersweet".
