SEA Games gold medallists Napaporn Tongsalee and Suchanan Viratprasert came from behind to beat Taiwanese Chan Hao-ching and Japanese Ai Yamamoto 4-6 6-0 10-3 in the semi-finals of the US$10,000 SAT-LTAT Women's Circuit 1 yesterday.

But Sophia Mulsap, the only Thai left in the singles, fell to South Korea's Lee Cho-won 2-6 0-6 in the quarter-finals.

Napaporn, who decided to return to the circuit after announcing her retirement last December, and Suchanan will play against the winners of the clash between Sanaa and Ankita Bhambri of India and Albina Khabibulina and Dilyara Saidkhodjaeva of Uzbekistan.

Thais to face China in AFC futsal semis

Thailand advanced into the semi-finals of the AFC Futsal Championship with a 5-2 victory over Australia at Nimibutr Stadium yesterday. They will face China next.

The result also helped the hosts qualify for the Fifa Futsal World Cup in Brazil later this year.
