One girl was also abused by stepfather when she fled from her father
A Bangkok taxi driver has admitted raping two of his daughters and faces up to 20 years in jail. The 53-year-old man was arrested in Chatuchak district on Monday. He pleads guilty. His arrest resulted from a complaint from an 18-year-old schoolgirl, who sought help from the Royal Thai Police's Centre for Children, Juveniles and Women because she could no longer bear sexual abuse. Her father had raped her since she was just nine years old. According to police, incest in the family went back decades. The man also sexually violated his first daughter. Despite his wife's pleas, he did not stop abusing his daughter, who later became pregnant. The wife finally left the family.
Sex with 'granddaughter' Through the sexual relationship with his first daughter, the man had two more daughters but one died shortly after birth. The other one survived but became his sexual victim. When the first daughter found out what happened to her daughter, she fled with her kid. However, the girl's suffering did not end because her mother married another man and he also raped her. After being assaulted by her stepfather, the girl phoned her father to say she would return to him on condition that he must never violate her again. Despite giving his word, the father raped his second daughter whenever he got drunk. The schoolgirl finally felt she could not bear it any more and asked police for help. When police took the father to his house for a re-enactment of his crime yesterday, dozens of people hurled abuse. He became white-faced after having a dressing-down from residents. Despite the police presence, a man also managed to punch the suspect in the face. Meanwhile, Child Protection Foundation secretary-general Montri Sintawichai is preparing to provide mental rehabilitation for the young victim. "People in this society should stop seeing women as sexual objects," he said.
