Academy Fantasia' tunes up for its fifth season, with the cast set for some arduous talent training
Popular reality show "Academy Fantasia" returns to the small screen today for its fifth season with a range of new training concepts for the 16 contestants. "This year, we'll be focusing on much more than voice training," says Khru Kan, leader of the voice training team. "We'll be using the swimming pool to develop the lungs and muscles the contestants will need for singing and dancing," adds Khru Ped of the dancing team. "And I'll be helping them to enjoy the performance side of singing," says Khru Lak of the acting team. For viewers, technological innovations include a True-Visions SIM card that allows them to send 10 or 20 votes in one go and a Touch SIM complete with V-receiving set. Fans can record all 12 live concerts through TrueVisions PVR. "'AF' is a reality show that takes 16 ordinary people and transforms them into fantastic singers," says Attaphon Na Bangxang, chief programme and content officer. "We help turn their dreams into reality."
