Children fare well at Asian Physics Olympics with one taking home a gold medal

Thai students bagged many medals, including a gold, at the Asian Physics Olympics.

Held in Mongolia, the international competition attracted 136 top students from 18 countries.

With an outstanding performance, Kawin Sura-kijbavorn of TriamUdom Suksapattanakarn School won a gold medal.

Silver medals

Three other Thais collected silver medals. They were Kamin Siriwatwe-jakul of Mahidol Wittaya-nusorn School and Napat Puwuttikul and Ponnop Samutprapoot of Triam Udom Suksa School.

Bronze medals

Jira Noenkhiri of Triam Udom Suksa School and Pakorn Wongwai-tayakornkul and Wisarut Pinrod of Mahidol Wittayansorn School were bronze medallists.

The Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology fielded eight Thais in the event, which ran from April 20-28.
