Published on April 23, 2008

"Pid Term Yai Hua Jai Wa Wun" is what they call an "actor's movie".

It turns out that Focus Jeerakul isn't the only star of the film making repeated trips to the cinema to see it. One of the male leads, Sirachat "Michael" Jeinthavorn, spends lots of his free time enjoying his own work too. No wonder the movie has made Bt80 million!

V1 is for virginity

There are 16 contestants on Season 5 of "Academy Fantasia", but every viewer knows Somruethai "Pring" Prommajan. For one thing, she drew the V1 identity tag used by last year's winner, so it's easy to remember. And for another thing, her last name happens to mean "virgin", so every time her name is called, giggles fill the room.

No cheer in Poshville

Victoria Beckham learned to love football but refuses to do the same for basketball. British tabloid News of the World says the pop star comes down with a case of the scowls when hubby David drags her to a hoops game in Los Angeles between his matches with the Galaxy soccer squad. Posh says she'd rather go shopping, but rival tabloid the Sun came up another reason: A photo of David ogling an LA Lakers cheerleader. But there are no cheerleaders in football (at least not on the pitch).
