Clothes line row leads to stabbing
An argument over a clothes line strung between two beer bars run by foreigners in Soi 4 off Jomtien Beach Road turned into a nasty melee last weekend.

Bar owners A German man aged 43 was allegedly stabbed by a Frenchman who ran the adjacent bar after the argument turned into a fight involving the Frenchman's wife. Fred Hansen was allegedly stabbed five times by Jean Marie Philbert. Hansen was admitted to hospital, while Philbert, 43, was charged by police with causing grievous bodily harm.
