Canadian reiki healer says treatment also uses meditation to increase the body's 'vibrational frequency'

If you're suffering from some illness or simply feeling down in the dumps these days, the variety of alternative therapies to choose from - if standard therapy is not your cup of tea - is quite phenomenal. If you've tried the likes of acupuncture, hypnosis or visualisation but failed to achieve the desired result, another option is the Power of Life Healing Centre. Founded nine years ago by Ajarn Sathitam Pensuk, a spiritual therapist and expert in "Quantum Movement Energy", the centre specialises in treating the mind, body and spirit using purely holistic methods.
Eastern know-how Sathitam and his disciples use ancient Eastern knowledge, combined with modern scientific findings, to create healing techniques that they say are powerful. They use meditation to increase vibrational frequency within the body, and also use Tibetan and Aboriginal musical instruments. Their healing techniques are non-invasive and are about creating peace and harmony in the body. One of the Sathitam's disciples and healers is Canadian Jess Koffman. He said: "Illness or irregularity is an effect, a manifestation of an energy imbalance and removing an effect does nothing to the cause. The problem will only return if harmony is not restored." Reiki healer Jess, a certified Reiki healer, has been practising at the centre for a year and a half, specialising in removing emotional blockages and curing physical illness. He claims some unbelievable miracles. "I have witnessed innumerable illnesses which have, through treatment, simply and spontaneously vanished. Even cancer." Some readers may be dubious, but for those who would like to check out the centre, it's in Pathipat Soi 10, near Saphan Kwai BTS station. People can become a member for Bt2,000, which lasts for three years and includes an Aura picture. All group treatment and meditation sessions are thereafter free but the centre's healers can give, for an additional "very reasonable" fee, private treatments either at a person's home, office or at the centre.
