The venerable Brazilian flip-flops known as Havaianas have caught on in at least 80 other countries.

The all-rubber sandals have been around since 1962 and even show up at swish event like the Oscars and Sao Paulo Fashion Week - and on the feet of Jennifer Aniston, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and, when he's not actually kicking a ball, David Beckham. Havaianas were launched in Bangkok last week and are now available at most department stores.
