The stars will present ministry campaigns. Actor Phrompong Nopparit will be a ministry spokesman and actresses Thaksa-orn "Aef" Paksukcharoen, Woranuch "Noon" Wongsawan and Pornchita "Benz" na Songkhla will be deputies. Phrompong says all the ambassadors set good examples for youths.

Hotel too bright

A new Pathum Wan hotel is to get a special exterior coating to stop glare dazzling its neighbours, including HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

A source says the Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning Office has met with the hotel owner, City Hall and the Crown Property Bureau. The government and City Hall are considering new guidelines for construction.

Big ideas for Chula

Prof Phirom Kamolrattanakul replaced Prof Khunying Suchada Keeranan, who retired yesterday, as president of the Chulalongkorn University.

Phirom says he'll make Chulalongkorn a leading university and "unite current and past students together to serve the country as a prime think tank.

"Chulalongorn will act as the country's mainstay, we will advise everyone. It will remind society what is right and wrong," he says.
