Police equipment lost in station fire
Chana Songkhram police lost caps, batons and other equipment when their station caught fire yesterday.

One policeman says the fire started in a storeroom on the second floor. The station, located at the mouth of Khao San Road, was evacuated. There were no injuries. Firemen took half an hour to put out the blaze. Metropolitan Police say the cause of the fire was likely the age of the building, but they are investigating.
