Blasting beats on the beach
Bikinis, barbecue, fire jugglers and DJ sets offer a heady mix for the third Anthems party tomorrow night at Jomtien
Published on March 7, 2008
Summer is coming early to Pattaya, with the Water Park on Jomtien Beach being turned into an open-air venue for what promises to be a great beach party tomorrow night. Dubbed "Dance Anthems Chapter Three", this oasis of dance, music and fun features a barbecue, swimwear fashion show, waterslides, a splash pool, fire jugglers and, most importantly, live DJ sets and dancers. The Dance Anthems crew hits the beach for their third event, which runs from 5pm until late. Dance-floor aficionados partied at the first chapter in July, on the top floor of the United Centre on Bangkok's Silom Road, where California's Dean Lambert and local favourite DJ Seed headlined. The second Anthems was held in October at CRC Tower in All Seasons Place with an even bigger crowd. Main players for this outing are psychedelic trance DJ Graham Gold from the UK, who has performed at Peach and Ministry of Sound; Asia-based veteran house DJ Chris Samba; Darren Mac, who's graced the decks at Tribal Gathering and Gods Kitchen in the UK; Billy V from Dance Anthems Australia; and Tony Hughes from Dance Anthems UK. There will also be live percussion sets from Billy Bongo. Dance Anthems has already established itself as a party collective determined to stay true to full-fledged dance-music gatherings and energetic vibes. We don't get to groove with Dance Anthems often, so when the chance comes around, electronic-music lovers and party souls should grab it.
